Oxytocin Grindeks is indicated for use in the following situations:

1. Before delivery:
   
   
   1. Induction of labor for medical reasons, e.g., in cases of post-term pregnancy, premature rupture of membranes, or pregnancy-induced hypertension
      (pre-eclampsia)
   2. Stimulation of labor in cases of uterine hypotonia or weak contractions
   3. In early stages of pregnancy, also used as an adjuvant in the treatment of incomplete, inevitable, or missed abortion.
      
      
2. After delivery:
   1. During a cesarean section after the delivery of the baby
      
   2. Prophylaxis and treatment of postpartum uterine atony and hemorrhage
      
      

Oxytocin Grindeks is a colorless and clear liquid, free from visible particles, with a pH range of 3.5 – 4.5.

Oxytocin Grindeks can be administered by intramuscular (i.m.) injection or intravenous (i.v.) infusion.
